What We Do

Though we still perform traditional operative surgery (ligation and stripping, phlebectomy) for varicose veins, there is a trend toward less invasive but equally effective vein treatments. Instead of physical removal of defective veins via skin incisions, modern vein treatments rely on vein closure instead. Closure is acheived by thermal methods such as laser heat (endovenous laser ablation) and radiofrequency (VNUS ClosureFast), or by chemicals (endovenous chemical ablation or sclerotherapy).
